Join us to bring your favorite songs from the radio to life with classical string instruments!! Starting this fall, we are offering a rock ensemble to all string students (violin, viola, cello, and bass). We will be playing music by popular artists such as Bruno Mars, Metallica, Carrie Underwood, and many more. The ensemble is open to string students of all ages, but with the following skill set:
Interested participants should be able to read music, know note values down to dotted quarter notes and eighth notes (we will delve into others such as sixteenths and dotted eighths, but this is a good basis for understanding), play major and minor finger patterns, and play the bow with staccato and slurring.
